After years without a Toyo, I finally found a decent 2008 base model for a reasonable price. I have removed the pickup body, constructed a flat bed and am enclosing it for use as a camper.
In the process- I widened out the bed, so the filler tube is now inside the camper. In fact, it will be under the platform for the mattress. It's accessible from outside the truck, but since I will have a propane heater and stove as well, I'm a little antsy about fumes from the tank venting into the closed space under the bed platform. Nice to go out with a bang, still yet....
The filler tube is metal and has the vent tube 4 the EVAP control attached to it . Are there any aftermarket parts available that will thread into the existing tube where the cap now does and extend it out about 30 inches? Internet searches show a bewildering variety of stuff but nothing that looks like it will work.
Or do I need to take the original filler off at the tank and add a rubber extension there? and if so how do I extend the vent tube?
Glad to have a Toyo again. My last was a 1984 Forerunner with 359k.

You can cut the metal filler tube, vent tube and evap tube and extend them with appropriately sized fuel rated hose to wherever you want.
