Part number and Best source for Phillips H9 HID bulbs

Non halogen bulbs in halogen housings is my favorite topic on this forum.

LED bulbs took over "what oil do you use?" threads in popularity.

I explain it as it is cold outside, and marginal/old bulbs tend to burn out in the cold weather. Saw a a lot of one-eyed bandits in Alaska in winter. People worry about lack of light more than oil viscosity right now.

 

Yeah, the tint only changes the color, not the brightness or visibility. Snake oil.

 

Blue tint allows only blue light out. That means the rest of the light spectrum that bulb produces stays in the bulb.

 

Crash didn't didn't post pictures of the high beam testing (ran out of good weather) - he guessed it was higher. For a high beam, 20% more light is 20% more light, especially when there are more uses for a high beam than distance projection - trees, overhanging branches, road signs, flashing oncoming drivers to turn off their high beams...
