Bottle kill, great sipper but lacks kick-ass flavor. Well worth the $45.PXL_20250107_225130611.jpg

Went to Still Austin today to have a couple of sips and pick up a couple of bottles to bring back to CA.

Got to meet Nancy “The Nose” Fraley. They were blending in the tasting room. She was super friendly, talked with me for a while, and even poured me and my two sons a little of what they were blending. Awesome experience overall.

Going home so far with these. Two “Nancy’s” picks along with a Blue and a Red Corn.

Yeah buddy! - When do you leave? I might be in town on Thursday/Friday. Depending on the weather and what not.

OF 1924 release this week. If anyone snags an extra lmk. Might have been my favorite release last year.

Found a box of Fatty Weller SR today at the Oak Liquor Cabinet in Austin. I would have picked up one, but there is no way it would fit in my bag to get it home to CA. There were five available when I left.

They also had this Widow Jane Black Opal, but it was out of my budget.

Wow, now I’m even more excited about it. I was a little apprehensive about buying it for that much money but figured it was worth the shot since I’m unlikely to be offered another. They both seemed to really enjoy it. Thanks for posting the link

Haven't tried either, I know they're not unicorns but I'm excited regardless.

That JD single barrel, barrel proof rye is delicious, had a pour of that this afternoon and it was much smoother than expected being 130+ proof but I could still feel the heat on the end. It's a bottle with substance that doesn't break the bank, win win.
