I recently had from front cv shafts replaced, boots were torn and then had a seal leak. So I had them replaced and have a rhythmic noise, growl like at slow speeds I can feel it in the cab, we recently had snow so my truck has been in 4wd. There is no noise while in 4wd. He said the bearing in my diff were clean and looked good so he didn’t replace them. I’m wondering if that’s the noise. Any ideas

When I had mine swapped for the ECGS bushing, my mechanic said the bearing looked fine. No hum/ vibe after bushing install.

If it doesnt do it in 4wd, its the drivers side bearing. ECGS will solve the growl like Pigpen said. Pretty common in these trucks

Yep, swap to the ecgs bushing
That’s why it’s nice to go to a mechanic that knows Tacomas, this has been going on for more than 20 years, super common

the needle bearing on the drivers side is the culprit. Google ECGS bushing Tacoma and read all about it....
