Good morning folks. Hope everyone survived the ice storm we had in the midwest.

I'll start with the short version:

Is there a way to change the clock without the touchscreen on an Entune V2 (I'm fairly sure it's a V2 anyway)?

    Longer version:

My touchscreen got broken a month or so ago. Then last monday, I had to change my alternator which, of course, meant taking out the battery. And since Toyota decided that the proper start time for a re-powered clock is 7:00 instead of 12:00 like every other clock in the world, and since both 7:00s are either dark or during work time right now, I'm wondering if I can set it without removing a battery cable and putting it back on at one of the "7s".

I've tried, but I'm sure I haven't tried every possible way. Tried steering wheel controls somewhat, and tried on unit hard button controls...but no luck.

If it's just not possible, I'm sure I can do the battery thing in the dark...so this question is just as much my own curiosity if it's possible as it is any kind of necessity.

Thanks in advance for any insight/ideas to try/etc.

    :)

If it turns out that killing power is the only way to accomplish the task, I would look at pulling the radio fuse before disconnecting the battery. The fuse is probably a much easier thing to do, especially in the dark.

I don't know which radio you have but I have replaced my defective touchscreen with a minimal set of tools. The replacement touchscreen was purchased from Amazon.

The fuse is a good idea.

Thanks for the idea and reassurance (minimal tools comment), but I'm not sure I want to mess with the touchscreen. The truck has 330K miles on it....with my luck I'd do that and...........well, ya know...knock on wood lol. I never use the touchscreen anyway (except for the clock setting). I can see it, it just wont take any input. And I can use the steering wheel for everything I need.
