Just out of curiosity, why did you have to replace the engine? My 2010 RC 2.7L got a new head gasket in October 2022 at 157K and a transmission out of a totaled 2010 with only 22K original miles in July 2024, at 203K. Just turned 212K today, and I ad a little over a quart of oil between oil changes, but the truck shows no signs of dying.

 

The valve seat in cylinder one came out of the head at 196k miles. It was cheaper to replace engine with a newer used engine then to have original one rebuilt

both mechanics that looked at it said they had never seen that happen

 

That's exactly what happened with my transmission. At 203K miles, it started whining. My mechanic determined that the oil pump was going bad, and it was also discovered that the clutch packs were burnt and the transmission fluid was dark; I could have rebuilt the transmission, but it was probably the same price if not cheaper to replace it. I paid $2,417.20 for everything, including labor and a new rear main seal. The transmission is covered under warranty for three years or 50K miles, whichever comes first, and this includes half of the labor; I scrap HVAC equipment as a side hustle, and I scrapped my truck's original transmission with one of my loads.
