Got my truck repainted recently (roof was starting to rust), and soon as I picked it up noticed that the left turn signal was out. Thought it might be too much of a coincidence that the bulb would go out at the same exact time as getting it repainted, so pulled out the tail light assembly and saw that they had painted over all the wires and the harness and that my brake lights on both sides were no longer working either.

Figured some paint got into the sockets and disrupted the connection, so I cleaned out the sockets as best I could by blowing into them (bunch of paint dust came out) and got all the lights to work again after reinstalling them.

however... all the same lights have gone out again after working for only 1 day.

Additionally, my battery has been dying if I don't drive the truck every couple of days. It's only 1 year old (DuraLast gold) and still in good condition per AutoZone. It has been really cold lately, but thinking that it suspecting that it's related to the connectivity issue with tail lights.

Any advice on next steps? Particularly any/which of the following I should do:

    - Cleaning the sockets (and any tips on how to do it)

    - replace the harness (or all wiring?)

    - any additional testing I should do?
