    2nd gen for the win

3rd and 4th gen might start, but you know some sensor would be setting off alarms

I care for my Tacoma so I drove it out of harms way.

Silliness aside, it was odd to see what burned and where and what didn't.

The beginning of last week the wind was just ripping and howling in Phoenix, AZ and the sky was a little overcast. It was an ominous feeling and I could sense something was off and wasn't quite right. Like intuition or a higher power was sending a warning. Kind of like the brief pause where everything gets really quiet before an earthquake hits. o_O

The next day you could see it all over the news about California. It's surreal. The irony of the homes right on the oceanfront completely destroyed by the Palisades Fire too.

It's very reminiscent of the Maui fires, Paradise CA fire and the Creek Fire that burned all the way down to Auberry, CA.

There was a podcast that Joe Rogan did a few years back where he was talking with a firefighter that claimed it was only a matter of time before something like this happened. I think that's what convinced him to move to TX.

Great, angry grills on Tacomas now...

Edit: link to thread? Initial search fruitless.

Edit edit: not meant to make light of the situation, one of the most terrifying moments of my life was waking up to the smell of smoke one morning out on BLM land on Mt. Hood. But. It looks like what it looks like.

If Toyota doesn't pick this up and run with it, they are missing a golden opportunity.

Reminds me a lot of this. Toyota kept it and clear coated it. I think Toyota gave him a new truck with some sort of paint job to match the original burned one because they wanted his Tundra as a display piece.

Yeah tbh that does look all cosmetic, assuming wiring harnesses and sensors weren't affected.
