    Hi there everyone

I am new to this forum but I have owned a 2011 Tacoma TRD for 9 years never once had an issue with this Truck the last flush and fill I had done on the radiator was at a Toyota dealer and when I went to side shop for an oil change a few months later.. they told me I hardly had any coolant in the radiator long story short. I had that filled then went for another oil change and they showed me the coolant is running into the oil had this milky substance at the top, they said the head gasket will go on it. Which I would need a new motor eventually. I have no over heat no smoking from the truck no sign other then the fluid. What are your thoughts on this? I am pricing motors and Toyota wants 11,000 for a 41,000 mile motor isn’t this over priced?
    Thanks

It's normal for condensation to build up under the oil cap in cold weather especially if you deive short trips.
If you had a head gasket leaking bad enough for coolant to get in the oil you would have other symptoms long before.

I'd want to verify where the coolant is going though, external leaks are usually pretty easy to spot. Toyota coolant typically leaves pinkish/white stains/crust where it dries.

Thank you and yes it’s very strange because never had issues with Truck. I don’t show any leaks and the truck only does short trips. Maybe will have to get it looked at for another opinion I did get my heater replaced going on and off was told this heater was a recall.. only thing the radiator seems to be loosing coolant never had that issue even though it’s older Truck. I don’t show any external leak

Welcome to TW! Stay away from the dealerships, get at least one or two more estimates from reputable mechanics. Spending 11k for a used motor to put in a 14 year old truck would be insane!
