Considering selling my beloved 1986 Toyota 4runner.

    Concord, NC

    $25,000

    1986 Toyota 4Runner
    276,500 miles on body
Factory was a 22RE Automatic Truck
Note: I purchased truck as is, I did not build this.

    Engine:
2002 VW 1.9L ALH Turbo Diesel from VW Jetta
    Tekmektronics tuning
    Larger fuel injectors
    Larger turbo
    Electronic guide vein control upgrade
    4 BAR MAP sensor
    Intercooler
    Larger radiator
    2.5” SS exhaust
Full wiring harness from fast forward automotive

R150 transmission (would typically be with a 3.0L truck of 4runner)
    Centerforce Clutch
    Factory transfercase
    Doomsday Diesel adapter plate

    Suspension:
    SAS Kit
    Hi-Steer
Cheap shocks (rough country or pro comp)
    Chevy 63 rears

    Axles:
    Front axle braces and supports
    5.29 gears
    Spartan locker (front)
    Yukon locker (rear)

    Wheels and tires:
    17” method beadlocks
    37” cooper STT pro

    Body:
Trail gear front and rear bumpers
    Best top soft top
    Hard top (rough shape)
LED hi and low beam lights

    Interior:
    Dash cover (aftermarket)
    New carpet
    PRP front seats
    Vinyl rear seat
7” double din touch screen radio
Speakers needs some work or replacement
    Edge insight module 2

Purchased truck with problem which I have resolved. Truck was going into limp mode causing all loss of power and tons of smoke. After recording all the diagnostics, it was a failed MAP sensor. Driven truck approx 2500 miles since repair without any issue. Purchased Ross Tech VCDS to assist with troubleshoot and this equipment will go with the truck. I drive this truck constantly, back roads, highway, interstate. Averages between 22-24 MPG per tank. Truck will go 75 MPH easily. I thoroughly enjoy this truck, but looking at the next project.

Note: did notice small coolant leak today under passenger floor. Have not had chance to evaluate but appears to be coming from passenger floor area, Possibly heater core or line, will evaluate and repair when time allows.

I have no interest in trading or partial trades

I'm sure it would, just not in the budget right now. Wish it was.

SEXY! I just recently picked up an '86 4runner with a SAS myself! Not nearly as nice as yours however. Random question... Do you need the roll bar in the rear to attach the soft top? Mine doesn't have the roll bar for whatever reason and I want to get a soft top this summer.
