Also with the icon RXT springs I removed the tiny leaf on the bottom and that helped as well. Don't know what springs you have though

think so? The different fender arch shapes throws. Me off a little. I do think the truck is level right now, but when you focus on the fenders it doesn’t look like it.

    Deaver J66 on there.

My j66 pack sagged bad after a little bit. Depending on how long you had it on there or how often you tow your trailer, I’d probably “leaf” it alone. The rear will go down 1/2-1” in the coming year.

I bought the pack used, with like 500 miles on it. I don’t tow the trailer often, but even with it on, it doesn’t really make a difference. The trailer is so light.

Detroit truetrac diff in my truck. I love it. In my top 3 favorite mods. Especially good with the dclb; more point and shoot with the steering now instead of point 10 degrees less or more depending on the tightness of the turn like it was with the open diff. I haven't had any issues in the rain but it does get a tad squirrely in the snow - even with drivermod on the pedals there just isn't anything you can do but go a little sideways uphill sometimes. But the increased braking performance is enough to make up for any downsides in the snow

Tim from DMZ recommended not laying hydro bumps on their side without nitrogen as the oil can get into the nitrogen chamber. I def had some fluid come out of the schrader valves.

I'm not entirely sure what a bump stop looks like on the inside as I have never taken one apart (yet).

Anyone know what type or how much oil a 2x2 king bump stop takes?

The oil is red, should I refill with king shock oil?

Pretty sure bumps are an emulsion setup. Here’s the inside of my 4 inch bumps. They look exactly like my shocks when removed. Just make sure they are vertical when you remove the nitrogen or it will spray you with oil. 51563017516_f333789e1f_o.jpg

Yeah I didn't think there was room for an IFP. Thanks for the pic

Honestly the lockers aren’t too reliable out in the desert, especially if you put the actuator button close to your knee and you accidentally turn it off going too fast haha. Stay away from clutch style posi. Truetracs much more reliable for go fast stuff. Those clutches tend to wear out from what I hear about other people running posi. Plus they require more maintenance and special oils. The cheap way like I did was just a Lincoln locker. As long as you weld it pretty hot and evenly it runs real nice and provides all the traction I need to put the power down evenly in the big whoops.

I can’t tell you the last time I locked the front or rear in that truck. Hell I can’t even tell you the last time it was in 4wd.

The wife’s truck is getting the dirty 7 treatment this spring so it will need gears, good excuse to dump both lockers from mine to hers and save a couple grand. I just want something I don’t need to think about using.

It definitely does overtime and you’ll be welding your body back together often. The real problem for me is the fuse box being in the way for maximum bump. I get about 10.5” up and 7” down. On 35s I just clear the fuse box. I’d have to relocate my fuse box, extend all the wiring just to clear 37s.
Has he used it going fast? Most of these setups are super unpredictable for going fast
Trying to keep the truck straight through deep holes going fast isn’t easy or predictable when you’re open in the rear. Equal power to both rear wheels is a must if you want to hit lines in johnson valley/barstow. Ask any desert guy.

No idea on actual volume but I filled mine all the way with oil when they were compressed and took out an extra 5mL, I'm happy enough with how they do.

As long as you can fully compress the shaft and they don't hydrolock I think you should be fine? more oil volume means they will stiffen up faster on compression.

I’m 100% out on that carrier with it requiring 80-90….. That’s nowhere near enough film thickness for the constant shock loading these trucks see.
