I am unfortunately looking to part with my Tacoma. My family is growing and my Tacoma is just too small. I am willing to sell it outright but I am more interested in trading for an 05-06 Tundra Double Cab 4x4. I might also be interested in a 2nd Gen Tundra double cab 4x4. $12k OBO. I am located near Santa Barbara, CA.

I bought this truck in 2019 with the intention of keeping it forever so all important parts are all Toyota OEM. The Oil has been changed every 3 to 5k miles with Toyota OEM Oil and Filters. I kept track of all the maintenance in a google document I will include in this post or if you would like to see it I can send it to you. I also have the CARFAX from when I bought it. Everything works on the truck, cruise control, A/C, Heat, power locks and doors, cruise control, Rear locking differential etc… If you have any questions feel free to reach out, I'm happy to give you a call or send more pictures or FaceTime if theres something you want to see.

    Some standouts of the truck:
Color Matched ARE Camper Shell is fully loaded with Windoors and sliding glass windows with screens, the front glass has a sliding window and also drops down for cleaning or passthrough. Fully carpeted. I have the key for the camper shell locks, 1 key for all 6 locks.

WeatherTech Floor mats - I have had these on the truck since I bought it along with seat covers (I removed the seat covers for interior photos).

Headlights - I replaced the bulbs and the wiring with this writeup https://adventuretaco.com/out-with-the-leds-back-to-halogen-headlights/, the wiring kit I bought was from https://www.headlightservices.com/Wiring.html as recommended in the writeup.

BedRug - the velcro on the tailgate section is no longer attaching for some reason. I tried replacing the sticky bag "hook" side but that didn't work so I think the "loop" side is worn out I guess.

Suspension - Full Old Man Emu (OME) front coils (881), struts all 4 corners and their Dakar Leaf springs (EL122RA, EL122RB without extra leaf) and greasable shackles. It’s like a 1.5” lift about.

At the same time I also replaced all of the front end and steering components: upper and lower ball joints (Toyota OEM). Inner and outer tie rods (Toyota OEM). Upper control arm bushings (Toyota OEM). Lower control arm bushings (Whiteline Poly-Urethane bushings). New lower control arm cam bolts and sleeves (Toyota OEM). Steering rack bushings (Energy Suspension Poly-Urethane).

I also did the Tundra Big Brake upgrade with 13WL Tundra calipers and Rotors. Followed steps from (https://adventuretaco.com/guide/step-by-step-tundra-brake-upgrade-on-a-tacoma-or-4runner/) In order to fit the brakes I got the black steel wheels off of a junkyard 1st gen Tundra base model.

Also used this kit which includes Stainless Steel brake lines (https://adventuretaco.com/product/tacoma-to-tundra-hard-brake-line-kit/)

The rear soft brake lines were replaced with Stainless Steel line from Wheelers. And the LSPV was raised up with kit from OME.

New Spark plugs, Wires, and Boots, all Denso. Done at 236,633 miles or 10/20/22.

New Battery and Alternator 9/9/23, 251,683 (Orielly brand)

Rear Diff breather extended up into the fuel filler door.

    Cons:

camper shell - slight leak in one corner, ive deduced it to old gaskets on the windoors. I thought it was where the frame of the windoor contacts the fiberglass so I removed the windoors and put butyl tape and then put a very thin bead of Sikaflex on the outside, so know forsure that will not leak.

Paint - as a lot of you know these clear coats suck and this truck spent most of its time in Texas and Southern California so the clear coat is faded/bubbled off on the hood and roof of the cab. The clear coat is also bubbling off on the camper shell.

Valve cover gaskets are leaking and need to be replaced. The leak is not bad I probably add 1/8 of a quart in between oil changes which are always 3 to 5k miles. I Bought all the parts (Toyota OEM) to fix it just have not had time, so I will include those. I also have 6 brand new Remanufactured fuel injectors from MotorWeset Performance (I was going to do these when I did the valve cover gasket).

Passenger side CV Boot is torn.

Passenger back corner on the bed damage as shown in photos.

Tires are OK, I was going to replace them soon but figured someone would want to put on whatever tires they prefer.

Random Stuff that was on the truck before I bought it:
    CB Radio
    newer stereo with bluetooth
"Stinger" brand dual battery isolator setup. The previous owner had it not hooked up when I bought it, and I left it like that. that is why there is the 2nd battery tray on the passenger side, and the 2 lights and switch on the dash (let me know I you have any questions about this I can explain how it works). I assume there was a fridge in the bed thats why there are those 2 tie down points in the bed and there is wiring running down the frame rail and through a factory grommet going into the bed.
