Gasket For Sealing Under Tracks?

    Could use a little help. I’m looking for some type of closed cell foam gasket, about 1/16 thick and 1” wide to use for mounting my L-Track to my camper.

    I’ve used silicone in the past and it works great, but I wanted to give some sort of foam tape/rubber a shot. Butyl is another option but in the summer, it just starts to get closer to a liquid state lol.

    If it doesn’t make sense, think about Yakima roof tracks for racks, and waterproofing the seal underneath that.

    FWIW I used butyl tape, 3/4” wide by 1/8” thick. Waterproof and came out perfect.

    Cache Campers does some good videos on construction of campers

    They use “putty tape” under the corner rails that they jam on
