I bought a 2023 with 10k on it. I didnt notice it at first. But when driving i'll get a vibration.in the steering wheel, that comes and goes. Its like a cell phone on vibrate feeling. I bought new tires and had the balance and alignment redone.
It still has it but its not at a set speed or rpm. The dealer said it sound like engine harmonics, that the engine is trying to maintain fuel economy. I dont by that, feels like something is loose or not properly balanced. Any ideas would help. Dosent interfear with driving just annoying.

Maybe it's one of those 'you're going to sleep' warning systems. :D

It's normal, a lot of trucks do this.

There's a few spots in my city that the harmonics will make it feel like a wheel shake. My own truck, doesnt matter if I have my all terrains or winters on, it will shake. On my test drive route customers trucks all shake.

Oddly they are both long sweeping left turns.

Sometimes shops will do a balance but you've got a wonky wheel or tire that has a defect and won't balance right. If so, the vibrating wheel (versus the seat) could suggest it's one or both of the front wheels. You can get a "Roadforce" balance that will give you a number for each wheel reflecting how well balanced it is. It's not magic but it's helpful data. Heads up, they are usually more expensive. Last one I got was nearly $200 but it found a couple defective tires that got covered under warranty. If you bought your tires from the same shop doing the balance, hopefully they'll cover the cost of the Roadforce balance for you (at least if they do find a detective tire).

Edit in reference to @Bishop84's comment, ignore everything I said if this is only happening in certain stretches of road. I was assuming it was happening everywhere. My steering wheel vibrates a good bit on some stretches but none whatsoever on others.

I bought the tires from one place, but messed the balance up. So the dealer did it all over and did a force road balance. The tech said the tires are not totally flat. They were pushing around 25. It was causing a hard pull to the right before that. It wanted to follow the road groves. The ossolating vibration does it on straight line. It lessons upon acceleration, down hill coasting it goes away, and at 50 plus mph i dont feel it.I still feel its a bearing or hub in the front axel.

I assure you I have 2 spots in my city that makes every tacoma and tundra wobble. The cars don't do it, the trucks do. There's roads with harmonics.

It might be engine yea, because it tries to up / down shift trying to squeeze out stupid MPG. Try using ECT button that's supposed to forget about MPG and focus on power, see if it still happens. My truck also does vibrate but only when I slowly push down on gas pedal or sometimes when idling in cold temps. I haven't really noticed strong steering wheel vibration thought.

A defective driveline part, or a balance issue, will show up at a specific vehicle speed, engine vibrations at a specific engine speed. Trans vibrations are tricky because of the different components turning at different speeds. I worked at the GM Technician Assistance Center, the hotline all GM techs call when they can't diagnose an issue, in the transmission/driveline group. If you can isolate the problem to "if I do a-b-c, it will vibrate", it's solvable. If you can't, you can spend BIG $$ chasing a ghost. The best suggestion i can give you is to find a shop that has a PICO vibration analyzer. It's a high-tech oscilloscope that uses a magnetic sensor to determine the frequency of a vibration, and uses tire size, gear ratio, and engine rpm to determine what component is moving at the same frequency as the vibration. It's a good enough tool that GM made it a Special Tool and shipped one to every dealership. That doesn't mean the every dealership has a tech that's comfortable enough with it to use it properly. You might have to call a dozen dealerships and ask if they have someone who's good with the PICO, and pay the a couple hours drag time, but if you can make the vibration happen, that machine will pretty much tell you where it's coming from.

Lol, I live in the South so the roads are pretty smooth so I guess I haven’t experienced it.

We get frost heaves. But we also keep the same speed summer and winter up here. I've seen videos of those states getting snow lol.

My Toyo Open Country AT3's have a vibration through the steering wheel when cold. It goes away once they warm up.

25-ish or above on a road force balance was judged to be problematic in my case, and sure enough once those two tires (one at 24 and one at 34) were removed and replaced with new tires my problem went away.
