Rack or no rack?

Not crazy about the look with the ladder rack & don't have much use for it, but would like to keep the topper for camping so would need it to remain leak proof. Is it worth trying to fill the bolt holes in the topper or just sell the rack & topper together and buy a new topper?

 

I would seal holes with through bolts.
SS bolt head, flat washer, EPDM fender washers up top. EPDM and flat washer with nut below. Maybe a dab of polysulfide caulk over top assembly.
McMaster-Carr sells ten packs of EPDM fender washers in various sizes.

 

If you don’t need or, I’d ditch it,,, it looks wonky AF.

 

You’re wasting money on gas with that up there.

 

Uhh if you wanna be really lazy you could just cut it off with a grinder…just 4 feet?
Cut then grind it to almost flush….
