    Righto. I come from the sports car world and am reverse engineering what I know about lowering a car for performance and still having maximum suspension travel. Lifts are backward to me.

    I think the more likely concern is bottoming the shock before the coils bind. Still bad.

    Thanks for being patient with me. We all learn together.

    icon stage 10 kit, toytec 1" bl, 35" general x3s, 17x9.5 procomp wheels, locker anytime mod, s&b intake, blackhawk 2.1 tune,
    you only lose travel when there is coil bind with a preload spacer which isnt an issue with these trucks. full bump is the same with or without preload spacer. its the spacers that go above tophat that will limit travel due to hitting mechanical limits of shock prematurely.

    at static ride height the coil isnt actually compressed any more with or without a spacer. its compressed the amount it takes to hold the weight of the truck and no more. your also not changing spring rate so unlike the common misconception you arent actually making the ride "stiffer". what does affect the ride is the now lack of downtravel. it would only be stiffer for the last amount of uptravel equal to the lift specs of spacer.
