Bit your tongue! I sold this to help pay for the LS Swap.
We purchased it new in 07 when the dealer had to buy back the 06 MINI Cooper S under the lemon law.
I posted it for sale for $5 in Craigslist within minutes my phone was ringing, one guy was getting a flat bed from Los Wages, and a 2nd. was coming from Flagstaff. Then a lady called and wanted to make an appointment for that afternoon when her husband was off work. I told if it’s not sold, there are two others on there way right now. She asked for my address and said she will have her husband meet her there. You could tell she threw on a ball cap and came in her pajamas. Her husband showed up about 5 minutes later. He asked if I had any maintenance history I pulled out the log book (I keep a log book on all my vehicles and it has every time I spend a penny on the vehicle from gas, light bulbs, wire blades, etc). He looked at the book and said sold how much are you asking, his wife told him and he reached out his hand and said good enough can we test drive it… I then called the other two and said it’s been sold. The guy from Las Wages said he was halfway to Kingman and the guy from Flagstaff said he just left Flag about 15 minutes ago.
This was the real Zoom Zoom…

What was wrong with the MINI, I mean beside the constantly broken hydraulic motor mount, completely unshielded oil cooler on the bottom of the engine and generally poor build quality? Only car I've ever had that I was scared to own outside of the initial factory warranty. So much so I sold it just before the end of the 2 years. It was great fun to drive when it worked though.

The Dealership bought it back so I will give you 3 guesses and the first 2 don’t count. Was a fun little POS‼️

That's sweet, mandrel bends. Could probably get T3 flange since made to order. I'd definitely have gone this route if was available.

It’s a good deal at sale price, like they’ll provide a plate for any throttle body you want to use.

In general yes, longer runners are better for top end hp. In this case they are really building the intake manifolds for forced induction applications. At which point intake runner length has less of an effect since you are just shoving air into the engine. I really like their billet valve cover. I'd even be willing to do one of their intake manifold and do a turbo exhaust but I've already got one car that I have to swap parts on every two year for emissions testing, don't feel like making it two.

Well we will all find out together as my CNCinnovations manifold and valve cover are currently ordered!

Ive finally come around after having enough time with my turbo buddies to finally see the light in the turbo tunnel. I was pretty stoked to see the manifold you made @Torspd . Has anyone had luck sourcing a vgt turbo? I was looking at a G25-550 .64AR, seems like there may be a version of that in an OEM trim which would be epic

Which throttle body are you planning on running?

Just OEM Tacoma for now. Ill use all the new manifolds and valve cover with the URD Rotrex kit until I settle on a manifold/turbo selection. The Forged engine build is still in a plastic box nagging me to be put in.

Open to sizing suggestions as the goal isnt total peak rip your nuts off power. But targeting quick spool and retaining as much low end as possible. This truck is a rock crawler/duner. Which is a hard combo to achieve.

Cool, I was just curious. Ive been considering that manifold and might ask for a 70mm or 76mm adapter if I end up pulling the trigger.

Do you have a plan for the 5th injector? I wonder if the manifold has a provision for that to make things easy.

Im running a BorgWarner EFR 6258. It’s the smallest EFR they make. They are popular with the 2.0L mazda miata crowd. It spools very well on my 2.7L and will support up to 450hp. I tried to keep using my MAPECU3 with my turbo setup but the stock ecu was a consisent pain. I ended up going to a Haltech Elite 1500 and its been wonderful ever since

Man, if you have a forged engine waiting around you should install it and turn things up. I am waiting to get mine back from the machine shop.

@BassAckwards tell me bout it. Purchased everything for a full LC engineering build right before Covid… 8.5:1 .020” over pistons. Rods arps.. Modified version of their Stage 5 cam set for better low rpm power. Haltech 2500 elite, fuel lab surge tank.. All of it.

Moved to a new state during covid. New job robbed me of the ability until i quit 3 months ago. Now we are finally getting it done.

I swear a huge reason for wanting the turbo is i cant put enough mufflers under this thing supercharged to make it comfortable to drive 13hrs to see my parents(done it multiple times). Wasnt a problem when i lived in a state that limited you to 65mph.. now i live in a state thats 80mph, first trip out had earbuds in with earmuffs over them! 80mph 5.29 gears and. 34.5” tires and no cats… side dump in the bed was a bad idea long run. But still sexy, i mean who doesnt like seeing a good soot stain lol

No on the 5th injector. I wont run it long term only with the URD piping. Ill run some 750cc injectors. I did opt for the additional fuel rail just in case we want to get stupid later. They drilled it and provided plugs to block it off while im using the OEM location injectors

Thats going to be a sweet build! Im very interested in hearing your thoughts on the cams. Id like to do something similar, i didnt realize they offered any.

i can totally relate to you on the sc engine being obnoxiously loud. Mine started out like that with the URD SC kit too. Now I have four mufflers, a resonator, and the turbo helps too. Noise level is close to stock but she’s a ripper. Full 3” back into 2.5” duals. The turbo was much louder with a conical air filter too. I swapped to a 3rd gen tacoma air box and its super quiet now. I love it

i dig the way a side exit exhaust looks but they are definitely loud. If you want quiet, route it out the back and use that space for more mufflers lol. I used to have a similar setup with 5.29s and 34 inch tires. I went back to stock gears and that helps a ton with noise level too. Those gears make the engine scream constantly

    Hmmm,
I ended up running two large 5x11x22 Magnaflow’s in a series. The center in & out in the front, laid flat / horizontal. Again this is a center in & out on the 2.7L and a 2.5” duel in with a 3” single out on the LS swapped Reg. Cab 5 lug.

    https://www.hottexhaust.com/magnafl...1-oval-body-3-3-center-center-22-body-length/

Then sleeved / butted the 2nd rear muffler vertical, right behind the front muffler. Then up & over the rear differential out the very right rear of the bed with a hidden turn down. I used a offset in & center out on both my Regular Cabs.

    https://www.hottexhaust.com/magnafl...1-oval-body-3-5-center-offset-22-body-length/

Also if you’re good with wiring I recommend installing an GM LS or better yet an LT. Yes it’s a major pain in the @$$. Mine not even fully tuned yet, but with 3.58 TrueTrec, 275/45-19’s Pirelli P7 rubber, Tremec TKX @ approx. 4000 RPM I nail the throttle the tires just wheel hop.
I need to fix that so I can play with the Mustang guys with no mufflers who drive around disturbing the peace. After fixing the wheel hop I have a set of 3.73 TrueTrec’s in a 5 gallon bucket ready to install.
