Like the post says, i only do daily driving so looking for something that will perform good on regular roadways. i am not really looking for a lift just something that will clear 265/70R17 tires in the future thanks

Those tires will not cause an issue no matter what you chose. Now, how deep are your pockets? There are a million different shocks, how much you wanna spend?

My go-to recommendation for shocks for people in your shoes are the Bilstein 4600's (the yellow ones). Nobody that I've recommended them to has been disappointed and all commented on how great the ride quality and control is.

I have no idea what you have on your truck currently. The 4600's are not the same as the TRD Off-Road shocks, but if they're yellow they most likely did not come with the Sport trim and have been swapped at some point. Was just specifying the yellow Bilsteins vs the 5100s (silver body).

Yes.. that is why I didn't recommend the 5100's. IMO they are too stiff for a mid-size truck. The 4600's are fantastic though.

They are not the same yellow ones as OEM, they are valved differently. I agree 4600 would be your best at that price point.

Replaced my OEM yellow Bilsteins (not 4600's as others have notes) with 5100's. 5100's were recently replaced with 4600's. The 4600's are my favorite of all three.

Each set had about 60K miles before replacing.

If ON ROAD ride quality and handling is mostly what you're after and your options are 4600's, 5100's, and Fox 2.0's, then my recommendation is still the 4600 followed by the 2.0 and then finally the 5100. It's really hard to beat the value of the 4600's. Nobody will really see them anyway that's your concern.

Also take a look at the bilstein 6112, I haven’t seen those mentioned yet. They ride better than the 5100 and the 4600

fox 2.0 is the same price as 6112 for a shock thinner than the 2.3” 6112.

    Would not make sense.
