Hey there, I know this has been asked before but I've yet to see a definitive answer. I'm trying to order some replacement parts for my taco and all the websites ask if I have a base, prerunner, or xrunner model?

I own a 2007 Tacoma Access Cab 4x4 TRD off road. It has six lug nuts. As far as parts are concerned, is this a "base" model or a prerunner? I've looked up my VIN on a number of websites including Toyota's and none of them use those terms in the car report.

    Thanks for the help!

It would be considered a Base.

    Pre-Runner is a 6 lug 2wd

X-Runner is a lowered 5 lug with a body kit

I don’t know. I usually put base. And I put my VIN so they VIN match parts.

mine had a prerunner badge on the trunk I believe. Not sure why. Removed it. It’s 4x4 6-lug.

The word pre runner has a meaning. Meaning long travel RWD prerunner Baja truck used to pre run Baja.
