So I finally got an oem dash clock for my ‘02 base. Problem is that what I assumed was a plug is actually part of my trim bezel should I just shelf it and look for the piece that the clock fits in or cut this one? I do have a dremel but I’m not very confident that I can cut it the right size and have it look factory.

So, if you don’t cut it.
You have to look for a trim piece.

    If you cut it “wrong”.
You have to look for a trim piece.

Sounds like you have nothing to loose by trying…….
You can only gain by trying. Gain being you cut it right.

    I’m cutting it…….

While my alpine head unit does have the time displayed on it... it's still only right-ish 1/2 the year.

If the clock isn’t working there’s a thread on here somewhere that discusses resoldering a broken joint in the back of the clock. I did that and got my clock working again. Here’s the link to a YouTube video showing how
