I purchased my '08 Tacoma about 8 years ago. The original owner had installed a Toyota TRD Supercharger and Exhaust. I've only driven the truck about 25k miles since purchasing, but I recently crossed over 100k and want to do some preventative maintenance and keep the truck running well. No issues so far.

I searched and found a couple maintenance schedules, but I'm trying to determine what additional maintenance might be necessary because of the Supercharger upgrade.

    Questions:

    - Regarding belts and tensioners, how does the Supercharger affect those parts needing to be replaced?

    - Would you still run factory copper spark plugs?

    - What else should I be considering at the 100k interval?

    Thank you for your help.

I have a 3rd gen with a magnuson, I have 110k on my clock and al i did was the normal maintenance that was recommended, spark plug change, diffs, transfer case, transmission, and i had to change my brake pads. But everything was tip top and she drives as perfect as the day i got her new. Check you belts for wear, that might need to be changed but mine still looks good, even with around 60k with the supercharger.

Take a look at the following supercharger thread. The first page will address your maintenance as well.

I would mainly check the condition of your belts.

Check the SC belt tensioner. They tend to snap after a while. Already broke one.

Thank you for the recommendations. I started working through the thread above and it's very helpful...albeit overwhelming!
