For some reason I couldn't think of the technical term for the the "backlight" feature, but that was what I had meant to say. It'd had also came to me that the backlight feature has it's own single wire.

What about using a CH4X4 double switch small size with 2 relays as required? Is that possible?

I believe you can have 1 switch perform 2 functions via the SPDT setting so it might be possible to wire the backlight and main beam to a single switch but I don't remember the setting off the top of my head but its in the manual somewhere.

Edit: just read the manual and it's nothing like I thought so it's not possible.

My thoughts were the same and I might go the dual button function from CH4X4.

Most people just wire the backlight into the DRL circuit and you'll have control of it via the stalk

I think my grill lights are already wired to that method.

so I have a 21 mt Tacoma and was installing my arb compressor in preparation for lockers, and decided to tackle something else while I was at it. I have had the switch pro and powertray combo for a while now. I was really not a fan of the fuse box access and the relocation of the clutch fluid reservoir. So I finally made the decision to move everything to the passenger side near the firewall.
it was a bit more of a task than I expected but now that I have everything buttoned up I am a lot happier with the new location. I did have to flip the bracket that holds the wire harness coming out of the firewall as well as move the washer fluid hose bracket in the corner and extend the power cables. But otherwise it was not that bad.

Finally got this done! Took a while because I had to re-wire basically everything. So glad to be rid of all the excess wires and relays, and reducing wires into the cab as the firewall grommet was getting a bit full. It was a mess but it’s over and now I have more available switches and I know what all my wires go to now. Thanks for all the intel on this thread!

Use a relay with the compressor then you can run any of the circuits. That’s usually the recommended way to do it with the draw they have.

Usually compressors (with a relay) and lockers end up on the low draw circuits. The light bars, aux power, etc are on the high amp ones.

I used 35A switches for my 40” light bars as they pulled too much power for the lower outputs - I originally wired it up there not thinking and it was a good test of the over draw protection lol it would flash them and shut them down immediately.

Thanks a lot, really appreciate the adivce!

I am pretty sure the ARB compressor is already powered directly from the battery and switched on by a relay, so that should be fairly easy to do.
