    I'm leasing a 2024 SR5 - picking it up on Tuesday.

I'm considering putting a cap or cover on it right away (it is not going to come with anything).
    My considerations are:
    • I'm leasing - and am not planning on buying out the lease at the end - so I'd like to keep costs for accessories to a minimum
    • What's a good quality; low cost cap? Cover?
    • I will be towing - and have the tow package. Are there considerations with a cap and the assist mechanisms that support trailers? Should I avoid a cap?
    • Is there a good source for used caps / covers?
    • Is there a good market for covers after the lease?
    I appreciate the help!

[EDIT] - I just found the Tacoma Garage forum and see that there are discussions in there for used parts / caps and covers...I will look there as well...but will only post the question here. If it needs to be moved, I'll be happy to move it.

    none yet
the rub is the potential lack of used caps that fit a 4th gen properly
good market for used depends on where you are, look to see what is available for other tucks to get a sense of the used market for them

Get one of those light weight aluminium caps. I haven't seen one on a 4G yet, easier to remove no cap will probably seal completely and there will be people who want to buy a used light weight aluminum cap.
