Recently bought a 2008 Tacoma, SR5. Has the 2.7L, 4x4, and is a regular cab. I want power locks and windows, and was curious on how to go about doing that. Am I able to buy used doors and transfer the hardware over? Would the wire harness in the power door work if I plugged it in? If not am I able to get a master plug for the inside, am I able to sotter it in? With all of this being said, I want to maintain a factory look, and stick to OEM parts.

Unfortunately power windows were not an option on the regular cab and the door is different for the access and double cab models. So stock is not going to happen unfortunately.

My plan is to get a pair of window regulators and retro fit them into my regular cab doors then use an aftermarket power window switch kit and build pods on the doors to mount them and give it a factory look, also covering the window crank location. Not sure if there is wiring in the truck for it or not but really it just needs switched power and a ground, all the other wiring goes to the motors or between the switches in both doors.

I have a 2013 standard cab and would like to add power windows. Has anyone figured out how to use OEM parts to do this?
