    Dumb front locker question time.

What's the expected behavior of manually rotating a front wheel in 4HI with an ARB air locker engaged while the front is jacked up (both wheels off the ground)?

My AllPro bedside compressor bracket mount sheared off and dropped my compressor out of my bed side (fortunately I was in my front yard -- it must have been barely hanging on) so I finally got around to installing the JD storage box and cleaned up all of my air hose routing and manifold mount, so I figured I should make sure the front locker is still working.

When in 4HI without the locker, spinning one wheel causes the other wheel to rotate in the opposite. That's what I expected.

But when the locker is engaged I'm not able to rotate either wheel by hand at all, it's just completely bound. If I lower it off the jack and put it in drive it seems OK in a straight line.

Is this just binding from lack of equal resistance in the rear or do I need to investigate more here? I suppose I could stop being lazy and put the rear on stands.

EDIT: Ignore me, I'm dumb, front+rear locked together, putting the rear on stands confirms all good. Long day.

    New fear unlocked.

Used my respirator for some spray painting for about 30 minutes, removed and hung around my neck for a few minutes and a spider the size of a 10mm nut crawled out of it.

Went to put in gas tank last night and realized I had melted the fuel pump connector when I was boxing the frame lol. Still have a few hours worth of work and details but I'm glad it's getting ready to hoon.

So I caved in my AC condenser and radiator and snapped the fan blades. Is it cool if I disconnect all the AC condenser lines bolted to the engine block and run the truck around without ac? All I’m worried about is if the engine will be harmed. AC lines removed has nothing to do with the performance of engine right?

Cap the lines at the compressor and disconnect the electrical connector at the pump and you will be fine. You won’t hurt the engine but without capping lines and insuring the clutch can’t engage you could hurt the compressor.

Can I unbolt this power steering line and reinstall it in order to remove some coolant lines? If I remove that power steering line for a couple minutes will it allow air to get unit the system forcing be to bleeed it?

Just add what's lost and it will be ok. Might whine until the air gets out. It's low pressure when the engine is off.

Yea I’ll just turn the wheel a couple times and add in a bit if needed right? Here what happened. Overshot a short takeoff that bucked me and landed right on my sid plates that caved in the condenser/radiotar fan and coolant lines flattened. Motor mounts fine they were tig welded. Just gotta get new lines in and radiator back in business, who needs AC lol

Damn almost had a yard sale....yeah power steering is pretty resilient, you can crank it up with 0 fluid in it and just add some until your full and it won't care.
