Tweeters & Door Speakers

2023 Tacoma Double Cab. Are the tweeters and front door speakers in a non JBL system wired in parallel? I want to bypass the tweeters in my system, and I read somewhere that unplugging them also disconnects the front door speakers.

 

the tweeter connector plug is a 4-wire plug that completes the circuit to the door woofers.

there's a number of ways to bypass it. many use and love the ds18 tweeters that plug straight in, or there's Amazon wiring adapters. i just cut the adapter plug off the factory tweeter to keep the door woofer signal intact and re-wired the tweeters to the head unit to do my bidding.
