wanted: oem 3rd brake light

Hi all I'm looking for an oem 3rd brake light (double cab)that has the connectors on it. I'm hoping the people who upgraded to an aftermarket has one laying around Please PM me on details on price.

 

I’ve done MESO in several styles. My old truck was totaled and I kept my MESO. Haven’t changed out my 2022 yet, but you’re welcome to it when I get there… if you haven’t found one in the interim. I just got the recall card for the totalled one.



EDIT: I see you mentioned the connectors. There is no factory connection for the light side, it’s molded into the assembly. There is a factory connector on the harness, but I’ve never cut that off (some have).

 

Does your 3rd brake light screw on from the outside or the inside?

Somewhere after 2016 they switched to the inside. Or maybe it's Access Cab vs. Double Cab?

I have one off my 2016 AC.
Screws are on the outside.

 

Yes AC is different from DC. 2nd Gen DC is different than 3rd Gen DC.
WHAT I have (pic) is 2016-2023 Dual Cab.






EDIT: Didn’t look/realize, you have the AC. Those are easy and much more common, even in aftermarket.

 

Thank you for the quick replies! I also bought Meso 1st kit (Baja designs). I’m also trying to put the OEM so I can get the warranty/recall done and my 3rd brake/cargo light sometimes operates. I remember removing from the inside of my double cab and I did have to cut it. I l lost my light (harness attached) during the move.

which version Meso 3rd do you have as I might be interested.

 

I have a few… my personal is KC. I have a 5-BD and a 4-BD NMO and I think another. Got them from bailers who had issues, damaged the lights or other things. I made mine a PNP and figured I’d do the same for those. Just got pushed back when I had to start over with a new truck.

 

I literally just threw mine away! I would have given it to you.

 

@OP, you may want to change your title or first post to indicate AC (Access Cab) for first readers…

 

I’m interested in this as I have a dual cab! But now I need to find the harness that goes into that one 3rd brake light. Thank you just need to find the harness.

 

You should be able to order the terminal and the wire pins/leads. @caribe makaira feel like helping him out?
