Dome lights not coming on with door open

    2004 Toyota Tacoma Pre-Runner 3.6
    Hey everyone. I’m new here. I’m having trouble with my 04 pre-runner. The dome lights do not come on when I open the doors but I can turn them on manually. The main light in the middle of the cab roof only comes on if I turn the lights on above the rear view mirror first. Also, the lights flicker at times that illuminate the A/C controls while driving. Could this all be connected? Thanks so much for any info.

    Rear Airbag Lift Kit
    I installed LED strips for the footwells and wired it to my dome lights, so they'd come on together with the door. It all worked as planned for a while but after a few months, I started having the same problem with my dome lights. Still looking for solution.
