I’ve been having persistent evap issues with my truck for about a year now.

I started with p0440 and replaced a confirmed bad fuel tank pressure sensor with a new Amazon special 89460-04020. The ones that are smaller form factor than the oem version and don’t have the cover on the back.

    The codes eventually came back.

I then replaced the charcoal canister. And now get the p0441 and p0446 codes. Additionally, the vsv valve attached to the pressure sensor and charcoal canister (not the one going to the throttle body) appears to always be on, not pulsing. I’m worried that the only thing that would cause the vsv to be stuck on would be a blown mosfet in the ecu. But I opened the ecu and didn’t see anything obviously blown. I’m now wondering if the sensor I bought has a different range and is reporting a value to the ecu that is making the ecu keep the valve on.

When I open the gas cap to fill the tank there’s an audible hiss of air entering the tank, so I don’t think there’s a leak in the system.

Does anyone have any ideas what could be going wrong before I drop 1k on an ecu?
