Android auto won't connect

    I have a pixel 9 pro and every wire I try says it won't connect. And apparently wireless isn't an option as I have a 2021 trd off road. Any advice?

    Do you have blue tooth if yes then you should be able to pair your phone with the truck. It has worked on my Sport from day one. just saying

    Mods? We don't need no stinking mods.
    UGREEN and SUNGUY brand data cables work great with Android Auto and my '21 Tacoma. Both are available on Amazon. (Both cables work with the Android Auto in my wife's Subaru as well.)

    I have another dozen cables that don't work.

    Thanks gents. Ordered. The first guy in this thread said Bluetooth but that's not a thing I'm assuming? Either way problem solved I'll reply here when it comes in.

    Clean the usb port on your phone. Happened to me. Would charge but no data transfer. Port didn't look that bad but I pulled so much lint out. AA worked as it should the next time I plugged it in.

    Please excuse my ignorance, but what does this adaptor actually do? I ask because my Pixel Pro connects to my 2017 JBL system for voice and music without issue. Does this allow you to use apps on your radio screen? TYIA

    It allows a wireless conection option for using apps such as Google Maps or Waze. Otherwise you have to be plugged in to use those apps.
