The temp gauge on my 2011 will not drop lower than 23F. I have seen the threads about replacing, or fixing the temp/compass head unit, but I am unsure if this is the issue I am having. The gauge works fine, but slowly with temps above 23, but will not drop lower. Compass is working fine. I don't know if it is the gauge, or the sensor unit in the engine bay, or something else

    Any thoughts?

Highly unlikely it is the gauge.
Unplug the sensor under the hood.
If the temp gauge stops working or shows --, it likely the sensor.

Based on the suggestion, I unplugged the sensor while the truck was in the garage. The contacts seemed a little corroded, so I used emery cloth and then hooked it back up. I had the truck out this morning at -3F and the temp gauge displayed the correct number.
    Sometimes simple is best

    Nice. No parts required fix.
    And an easy "fix".
