    Hello all,

I have been searching for spark plug wires for my 1st gen (2004) 2.7.
It's weird, even Rock Auto has no section for them.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Also, any suggestions (aside from the usual), that I should take care of as far as maintenance?

I just scored this ride, and it was delivered last night! It couldn't been cleaner. I lucked out.
180K miles, perfect frame. My dream ride.

    Thanks

Your engine should have the coil-on-plug design, which eliminated plug wires. If wires leading to the coils are damaged, you can repair with same-gauge wiring.

Ahh, so I'm not blind or stupid!
I was just under the hood and thought I was missing something. Thanks a bunch.

just beware of using non-oem coils and spark plugs.

i can't specifically state for your older model, but i know of many issues with the subaru/toyota brz/gr86, as well as the newer 16+ 3rd gen tacoma specifically, have both had numerous issues with people buying non-oem coils/plugs and then getting drivability, heat soak, and misfire issues from them.

i'd like to applaud your effort to maintain your 1st-gen, just pay the extra for oem parts from the dealer to avoid the hassle (ebay is 50/50 questionable, Amazon has numerous known fakes, rock auto is entirely non-oem alternatives)

I believe Denso made the OEM coils.
I personally would NOT change them unless you have one go bad.

    And then OEM or Denso

Yes, I have seen that stance alot on this site about going OEM. It must be for a reason! Thanks
