I have had the cursed rodent attack on my knock sensor wire harness. Luckily the wire could be repaired without replacing the harness.
Also my auto comprehensive insurance covered the damage (minus deductible of course). A $1600 bill cost me $200!! Thank You Allstate. I am hoping if more owners get their insurance carriers to pay for this type of damages that they can pressure the auto industry to stop using soy based wire insulation.
I talked to the service person and they recommended a product called Fresh Cab from Tractor Supply. It is made from balsam fir tree. She said that a co-worker had mouse issues and put this in their car and haven't had a problem in 2 years. I put one pouch in my glove box and one under the engine vanity cover. I also sprayed my wires and engine down with Grampa Gus's rodent repellent. Hopefully this will keep them away?? IMG_6026.jpg

Several of my neighbor’s cats patrol my property. I am happy they do, my Golden Retriever not so much.

We too have about 5 feral cats running the neighborhood. They do a good job of picking them off. Sometimes they leave a dead one in the driveway as a present for us....great animals.
