Hi everyone, I'm ready to buy the 4th Gen Taco and wondering what kind of discount do you guys get from the dealer? any purchasing tips? I'm currently driving a 2007 SR5 and got a new frame in 2019 and before that I had 2004. These trucks are awesome! never left me stranded even when it slid into an icy ditch.

Good luck getting any discount on the popular models in Canada. The price in the US has been higher when converted to CAD (more profit) and with the potential tariffs the US has been getting most of the allocation. That may change. I visited two dealership in Southern Ontario and it was MSRP. Ordered in Sept and should be delivered in March. The margin on the Tacoma is about 6% in Canada with smaller dealer holdbacks and volume discounts compared to the US. You should be able to negotiate on the options, warranty etc where the margins are much higher. If you can wait 6 months you might be able to do better. With a trade in they might move some money around to show you a discount. I found my own buyer and the dealer did a convenience sale to save on the HST.

Yep in Canada we don't get anything discounted. They really frown upon markups though.

You might be able to negotiate a trade in - like I did - but I paid MSRP for the truck, which was better than paying a markup.

I got $1000 off msrp for 2025 hybrid off road premium and waiting 8 months now. From a dealership here in Toronto same dealer I bought my current 07 taco and replaced my frame.

I was on the list for a Trailhunter for a year at a Calgary dealership and was told I was third in line for a Trailhunter so check back in June 2025 to see if I got an allocation yet. Found and bought a 2024 Trailhunter from an out of town dealer's inventory rather than wait and maybe still not get anything this year.
