How are the thugs dealing with the cold? Do any of them go play in the snow?

 

I'm vacationing in Florida, it was supposed to be warmer.

He hasn't noticed me yet. I'm wearing his fuzzy crocs

Grain shovel, luckily the snow is light and fluffy. I scooped most of it out of the path then used a leaf blower. I normally use the shovel to scoop up the live oak leaves when I rake them.

Our roofs are peaked down here, most construction since about 2002 is hip roofed due to hurricane codes.

Roads are better than expected, the temperature went above freezing by 1030. It’s going to be worse tomorrow after the slush freezes tonight. State DOT and county road and bridge departments are running graders and loaders getting main roads as clear as they can. State DOT actually has some plows clearing and brining the interstate bridges. I’m not sure where they got them from.

The city of Pensacola rented 5 snow plows and operators from an Atlanta company and got them down here before the snow. They are working the main roads leading to our 3 major hospitals.

ECC is running all calls now, the Sheriff’s Office is responding to most calls. If it’s a minor incident they are taking the report over the phone so the road guys can get to more urgent issues.

Thanks for that. It clarified a few things for me, pretty much confirming what I was thinking. I talked to the ex-MIL this morning and explained where things were going, the things I could try, but in the end it would likely be $180-$245 for parts. The main board may be repairable, but it could take a week or two.

She doesn't want to spend more than $100 and being without an oven for that long wasn't appealing. She decided that she's just going to buy a new one. The old one is 14 years old.
