Stock 2019 TRD OR. Stock suspension, took off road a couple weeks ago and now I have grease everywhere around the inner driver side cv boot, but I can’t find a tear. Has anyone had this issue? How could the grease be coming out without a cv boot tear?
Thanks everyone with helping me understand what is happening and or explaining your experience.

Maybe a rock or something hit is a loosened the clamp but I checked them by hand and they seem very tight and aren’t able to slide around.

I once dripped some oil from filling the engine onto the tie rod boot; perhaps grease was slung from someplace else, you do wheel your vehicle rather roughly. Or perhaps a friend you wheel with is playing a prank on you, I wouldn't put it past my friends.

Could be a pinhole leak that's difficult to see. Once the CV axle gets up to speed, centrifugal forces causes the grease to get flung out.

I know no friend would do that and you can see where it has flung everywhere in a radius around the cv boot. Seems like there is more play then i remember. I guess a new cv boot and grease is in the near future and while im in there i might as well install a bushing into the dif to prepare the truck for a lift, tires and skids.

You must be right about this since I can’t find a wear spot, or tear and also double checked the clamps to assure they are on correctly and tight.

A crack or small hole in the boot would be hard to find.

Jack up the front with a floor jack. Bottle jack under the lower control arm, jack up the LCA to ride height and spin the wheel while you inspect each pleat. You will find it.

Thanks gentlemen. It’s clearly throwing grease so just going to replace it and do the bearing swap while it’s out.

Even though there are no tears and the clip is nice and tight it may still be squeezing out the end of the cv. I had a brand new CV and when turned at extreme angles off-roading I think that's what caused grease to leak out. The clamp was nice and tight but it still kept leaking out. This was a new axle I got from CVJ and so they just swapped it out so I did not fix the issue just replaced it.

Very well could be the issue hoping replacing it all together will resolve the issue.

I was thinking through this situation Is there anyway the front dif breather could be not breathing and creating pressure that pushes oil through the seal and out the cv boot causing the grease to be pushed out from under the cv boot? Has anyone experienced that ever ?

No. The CV joint splined shaft portion inside the diff is a solid shaft. Air in the diff is not connected to the cavity in the tulip joint.

If your breather is clogged, the diff oil will seep out either at the CV shaft seal or at the pinion seal, but won't affect the CV joint grease.

Yeah I’m not sure what I was thinking after I wrote that statement I realized once I really sat and thought about it that there is no way that could happen.
