I keep hearing a sound somewhere from where the intake is, dont know where or what it could be, ignoring all the ticking, you can hear a wooo noise every half a second.

anyone have an idea what it can be?

    this is a 2012 tacoma trd off-road,
I changed the idler/tensioner pulley, along with the waterpump, i hear the noise even with the fan off.

I see the video now. Troubleshooting noises over the internet are notoriously difficult, but I think I hear the sound you are describing. That's not the SAIS - if it was SAIS it would be a fan noise like a small electric fan, and this isn't it. I don't know what this sound is but maybe somenone else can chime in on it.

Question to help people help you: Did the noise exist before you replaced the water pump and idler pulleys? If the sound started after the replacement, that's probably where you should start. Also the fan never really goes "off" since it is thermostatically controlled by the fan clutch. Did you also replace the fan clutch when you did the water pump? Did you install a new serpentine belt as well or no?

i heard this noise before replacing the water-pump and pulleys(replaced it because it started to grind) i replaced the pulleys and serpentine belt. I had the entire fan off including the clutch and heard it.

At that frequency it sure sounds like belt noise. I'd spray some belt dressing or water on the belt and see if it changes.

Check where intake connects to fender.
