Interior Trim Color

Good evening.

Does anyone know if the color of the interior plastic trim parts in these trucks is simply luck of the draw? Do certain exterior colors get the white trim or blue trim? Do they randomly throw a set of the alternate color trim parts into a truck on the assembly line? I've looked at Toyota's website, their specification charts, and at window stickers, & couldn't find any clues to be able to decipher what color a build has installed.

Good question. My truck isn’t supposed to be possible, as far as I can tell. Ice Cap TRD OR, with white trim (supposed to be silver). All the badging is black, although that’s supposed to be an option. Only options on the sticker were heated seats and mud flaps. Also has black lettering on the tailgate, which I thought was an option too.

My previous SR wasn’t supposed to have intermittent wipers, but did.

 

I got a Bronze Oxide Sport with grey upholstery and the white trim (who in the world thought this would be good). But I've seen pics of my color scheme with grey trim, which looks more appropriate.

 

If the configurator hasn't changed from how the 24s were done, you can "build" what you want and the possible options for each trim will be there for you to compare---- for example, when I was looking the possible variations were the silver or blue, but no white was available. How Toyota determines what goes with what, I have no idea, but you can see what they offer based on which one you're looking at (trim, exterior color, etc.).

 

Not very smart marketing on Toyota's part to go with the different color schemes on the interior dash, white,blue etc.Sure,there are those that prefer bright coloring on their dash which is fine,To each their own but much more safe from a marketing stand point to go with more suddle colors, black, dark gray.I was looking at a white 2024 offroad but did not like the white dash accents.Went with silver with the dark dash colors.Like I said before,To each their own.Cheers

 

Why would giving people a choice be "not very smart marketing?"

 

That doesn't clear anything up without specifics. I test drove a red TRD Off Road manual with white interior trim. Do all of the red trucks get the white trim?

 

I'll look at the configurator again. I didn't see anything at all about the interior trim except the basic interior color.

 

I would just like to be able to know from the window sticker or vin, something, anything, what it was going to be without physically looking in the window. I'd simply like to be able to reserve or pick out a truck in transit knowing what I'm getting. The one I drove with the white interior trim made it a "hard no". I thought maybe it was protective film because it looked like pre-production trim that wasn't finished. I sort of wanted an orange one, but wanted to wait until this year to buy. It's discontinued, so I'll probably go with silver. I'm just wondering if that is guaranteed to have the silver interior.

 

Either use the toyota search and select the interior you want or the github report.

 

They do have wraps you can buy to cover it up if you find a truck that has all the options you want except the trim.

I'm not sure what the "Github report" is. I see it's a website with different topics. Is there a specific title I want to search for with detailed builds or allotments? Thank you.

 

I figured there might be, but when you're paying 45 or 50 thousand dollars, you don't really want to have to do that. Modding is one thing, having to cover up something because you hate it is another.

I wondered that myself. Mine is underground and the trim inside is blue. Looks nice and my wife being a red head loves it.

 

Because they are loud colors that stand out and don't necessarily flow.And like I previously said, some may like but I would guess most don't.Once against each their own
