    Hi,

Currently having a problem where static comes out of the speakers whenever I try to play any audio.

It only occurs when using Bluetooth or an aux cable. FM radio is fine. I am running stock speakers and stock head unit.

The best way I can describe the static noise is digital. I have a tube amp that makes the exact same noise when placed near a computer (at least it did until I modded it).

So I'm guessing based on the above the speakers are fine and its not a wiring issue since FM works fine.

I have a 2014 Tacoma TRD off-road access cab if that matters.

If you have to use an aux cable maybe try upgrading to a higher quality shielded cable to reduce interference.

You could try an fm transmitter as another option and play through a vacant fm station.

There are also many options on Amazon, eBay, etc to swap out the radio to a Bluetooth unit or touchscreen for $100-$200 depending on your budget. If you go this route make sure you pick one that includes radio trim and a pigtail harness so the install is easier.

Hi, so I am an idiot. It was my phone the whole time. I originally just tried killing the app but I needed to fully reboot my phone to get it to stop doing that.
