Finally got a hitch carrier for the fishing bike. Before I could either take a sled or the bike, but never both. Just need to stud the new tires and I will be ready to tow the sled on the ice.
Carrier is rated for 700lbs, bike weighs about 100lbs.

Got out yesterday, great weather. About 13 degrees, light to medium winds, 7 to 8 inches of good ice. I did not take out my large flip over hut, having shoulder surgery in a couple weeks. I just bought an Eskimo Quickfish 2 hub shelter, nice and light. Finally got to use my ion 40v, that I bought 2 years ago and have not had safe enough ice to use. Overall a good day. My friends and I caught over 50 fish, but kept about 30 total.

After 4 years of year-round forest inventory in the UP my colleagues and I thought we were pretty hard core….that was until our boss took us out on Little Bay De Noc with a couple of lawn chairs and a charcoal hibachi at -10 and a howling wind and blowing powder! No shanty and that old ‘Sotan had us out there aaaallll day! I’m sure glad to have experienced it. I have a picture of a full size pickup and an ore boat out there at the same time. But I prolly won’t be trying it again! Good luck to ya’ll!

Welp, seasons over for me :(
45+ degrees for the next month till we hit summer, rain in the forcast, ice is plenty thick, but the shores are going to be gone soon.
So I put all my ice gear away and its time to get the boat all cleaned up and ready for going out.
