Hello and good morning, taco kings.

I am interested in building out my taco with basically every bell and whistle for camping in. I am going to be putting a whole sleeping, cooking, water, shower and storage system in my DCLB 3rd gen. Its quite the undertaking, I realized. I am a great woodworker and technical guy, but I fall short on the lift I need to A) support the additional weight of what I am installing and B) maintaining a ~2.5 inch lift for 32" tires.

Ideally, the new setup for the lift would be about 1000 dollars.

I know that the Dakar HD leaf springs would be a good fit for the rear, and will give me around a three inch lift. Should I go with these if the total permanent weight is around 350 lbs? Do I need to upgrade the shocks in the rear, and if so, which shocks would accommodate this new setup adequately?

The next question is, what should the front shocks and struts be if I want a 2.5 inch lift in the front?

Let me know what you think. I usually am good at the research and figuring out what I need, but the amount of different parts is a little overwhelming and I need some assistance. Thank you all very much and have a great day.

Don't raise the front too much, with the camper loaded even with giant springs you'll sit nose high, and with reduced weight on the front axle you'll have a light steering and zero down travel.

I'd say shoot for 1-1.5" if you need lift. 32" fits with stock height on these trucks.

The HD springs provide most of the lift unloaded so it will still drop with all the weight.

5100's front and rear will likely do you fine.
