I'm trying to install some tailgate lights and having trouble disconnecting the OE 7 pin trailer plug wiring harness. Whatever is locking it in place doesn't want to release. I attached a picture showing what I'm talking about. Anyone got any tips?

I saw a video where they sprayed the connector with wd40, let it set for a few then release the tabs.

Good side view of the tabs. The gap behind the tab is visible. You will need to push inward and upward on the tab. You may also need to gently lift the retainer with a screwdriver.
