Holy Help. Bolt head on back of Penuma is slipping.

Got the top half off. There is a bolt on the back that will not come off. Blasted it with PB. Nothing. The head is slipping on a 10mm socket and wrench.

Am I screwed??

 

I mean how would I even do that and then get the severed bolt out?

Worst design I've ever seen.

A 10mm wrench seems to hold it but if I wrench hard, I get nothing.

 

Bc you are going have tons of room up top

Heating it with a induction heater first works even better.

I'd try a vice grip.

If that bracket is plastic, I'd honestly just break it off and find a way to secure it later.

Penetrating fluid doesnt loosen fasteners, it just makes it easier once things start to move.

 

Good news re: that plastic bracket. I melted the f' out of it when trying to use a heat gun on the bolt.

I am going to buy that rock set from HF tomorrow.
