Tie Rod replacement

Just ordered MOOG inner and outer for both sides for less than $100 on Amazon. My original outers are shot, might as well replace all of them at once. 2008 140k miles. The passenger side outer is bad enough to where it fell right out of the spindle when the castle nut was removed. I’ll be doing this next week. Will report back! Will do Alignment immediately after. I went with moog because lifetime warranty, greaseable outer TRE’s and super affordable. I was wondering why my steering didn’t feel as solid lately, figured it was from the wind we’ve been having but maybe it’s because my outer tie rod bushings are shot. Truck still drives great but I tend to notice even the smallest changes in things.

 

AND my moog inners and outers do not come with a new inner boot but DO come with the thrust washer that needs to be hammered into the inner tie rod to prevent it from turning and coming loose.

 

This may be a dumb question, but in regards to the inner tie rod: if we're putting a boot over it, should I be packing that mofo in grease first?
