Hey all! I just have a few questions here about lowering my truck and what routes are best to take for functionality, ride quality and as well as aesthetics.
Ok so, for context my truck is already lowered currently with the 3/4 drop from djm, which as i’m sure a lot know is the ball joint flip in the front and the lowering blocks in the back. But, over time I have started to get a bit annoyed with the stiffness of the lowering block in the back. Now the front has no issues ride quality wise, so i’m just wondering what would be best for the rear i’ve seen online lowering leaf springs or thinner springs or just try to run shorter shocks any ideas? before i spend anymore money or anything.

I also don’t really want to cut the frame too much but wouldn’t mind shaving it a bit down, as well as trying to be somewhat budget friendly without having to do a whole bag setup. Just general inquiries about the best options for the rest to drop it down while keeping a decent ride quality.

Blocks won't make a harxh ride. Spring rat and shocks do that.

Shorter shocks will not lower the stance either. Again loweing/raising is by spring rate, arc, axle flip or blocks.

Is what you mean by aready having a 3/4 lowering... 3" in front, 4" in back? Then your already smacking the frame and the harxh ride is most likely some rock hard shocks someone put on to minimize travel.

Okay well yea i have the bilstein 4600 on both the front and rear so would i opt for a softer shock in the rear? And yes i have the 3 inch drop in the front and 4 in the rear

Tou have to look at the whole picture, with a soft ride you need more travel. More travel + 4" drop = damage. You want softer and no damage add a frame notch + proper springs and shocks

thank you well i have found shocks from djm that are softer but what entails with the proper springs? bc the thread that dalandser posted stated that if i use both lowering springs and a bjf it would drop it even lower and same in the rear with lowering leaf springs/ thinner leafs with the blocks
