Have read the few threads written about speaker improvements……..disappointing.

I believe there are more non JBL built by Toyota than JBL out there, and nobody seems to be happy with JBL anyway.

was hoping someone in TW has found an DYI improvement for Dash speakers, like the Kickers were for 2nd and 3rd Gens……..

    please advise

I replaced the speakers with JBL stadium speakers, and installed the beat sonic plug and play amplifier. The results is ok nothing too crazy. The dash speakers are much louder now because original ones are 8 ohm. Replacement JBL are 3 ohms. Also make sure to install an equalizer on your phone so when playing things on Spotify, you can adjust things

There are a ton of 3.5” and 4” speakers out there from $20 to $200+. I went with a 3” DS18 pro. At first I thought they were a bit harsh, but they are sounding much better every day.
