Anyone here installed a fumoto without a skid plate? Curious if you went little nip or no nip?

I installed one on my '23 TRD Sport a year ago. The truck has the standard skid plate that covers the front part of the engine. I opted for the short nipple just because that's what I have on my Subaru and I have the hose that snaps onto it. The bottom of the nipple sits at about the same level as the front skid plate, but well above the cross member.

Appreciate the reply. Do you clean the hose out every time before you store it how does that work?

Not really, I just wipe it down and store it in a plastic bag. The hose has a fitting that snaps onto the nipple so it's secure while draining. I drain directly into a waste jug, which when full I close the valve and cap. Then the next jug goes into place.

i do. i just flush it out with brake cleaner into the drain pan. that way i can store it anywhere on a shelf without having to deal with leaking oil from yet another source...

Stock wheels and suspension. Random "utilitarian" mods featured on this great forum.
After my last change, I'm biting the bullet on FN133S for the next one. Even with a 10qt bucket under, the pan gives you a middle finger and still manages to get a bunch on the ground.

I cut the hose from the motive drain tool in half. One part on the drain, the other on the fumoto. No mess.

    LS1 swap with nitros.
I’ve had one on my taco sport for at least 5 years and zero issues. I don’t off-road though.
