So, I replaced the heads on my 4.0. Got everything put back together yesterday. When I go to start it, starter will not engage. Doesn't even try. I traced the solenoid wire back to the fuse box, took a 16 guage wire from there to the positive terminal on the battery, it definitely cranks. But, doesn't start.
Any pointers on what to look for? I went through ALL the fuses, all good

starter trigger wire? Haven't gotten that deep on my tacoma so maybe its different but I forgot that once on my subaru engine rebuild. Pretty small wire that I mistook for the washer fluid plug or hose. Otherwise check grounds and start tracing stuff continuity test etc.
