Update, found my charger, must have stashed it in the center console of the GX for the AOAA trip and never took it out

Rower came in, used it for about 15 minutes so far. I like it! I have a decent spot in the basement for it. A while back I closed in the staircase and made a wall with cedar planks that the previous owner left behind. When we got a new TV I moved our old one to that wall so I can watch things while I use the rower.

Forgive me if I missed it previously…

Is this a hobby, business??? If you do sell these what are you getting for something like this?

It's a hobby. I've sold pieces before (just like my woodwork), mostly on commission. I don't stock anything or have a "real" business. I don't want to get commercial in a noncommercial space, but if you want one of these PM me. I think I'm going to be doing a small batch of each of these two (ladies and mens) styles as gifts in the next two weeks, with the idea that I'll be using the selection I have on hand in terms of materials and colors. I bought a side of this stuff so I could cut some commission pieces out of specific pieces of the grain, so part of these is experimenting for that and part is waiting on materials for a bag commission.

Edit: here's a mix of random wood and leather from a couple years ago

I just have to say I am very happy that we have a well-enforced no politics rule here. It seems especially tough to escape it lately, but this is one place we can.

On one of the F-150 forums, there isn't really any punishment that I have seen other than closing a thread so you tend to get the same few people bringing up that stuff regularly for no particular reason. Our methods are definitely better here.

but yes, learned that as a kid..

Doesn't matter, you can live in one state and have a different state's BCBS. People in our area can have one from Cali, for instance..

Totally, I modded for a darts site that had a zero rule..eventually the owner added a subforum for it or made a second page (I forget), but the rule was you know what you're getting into there and it stays there..and the general rules of good behaviour as well were expected to be followed

I have a very small wallet I carry in my front pocket. I find it hard to find a wallet small enough for my tastes. I loved the green colored wallet that you featured just a few post’s ago. I probably should measure mine to see how it compares to the sizes you showed.

The green one doesn't get any smaller without eliminating slots or pockets, or using a thinner leather which really compromises the body/heft/durability. If you want a REALLY minimalist wallet, Hide & Drink makes one that has a zipper. It's a little thicker than the green one, but only a little larger in length/width than a credit card. You can keep a few banknotes and 5 or 6 cards in it without it being hard to work the zipper.

I did prototype a third style, big enough to hold a stack of 6 or 7 cards plus a single card slot on the back, closed with a snap. My girlfriend made that one disappear before I could even get pictures. I'll ask her when she gets home from her trip if I can borrow it for pics.

That's one of the big reasons I was never involved with the Corvette forum much. I distinctly remember searching out a thread on how to replace a starter motor from the top pre-QuickJack and in the middle of the thread about asking for a specific bolt placement a member went on a four paragraph diatribe about some hot topic issue.

Between that and the rampant misogyny (there were guys who I think wanted a gold star that they let their wives sit in the passenger seat, let alone drive the wild beast that is a beige automatic convertible with 2.73 rear gears that couldn't bark the tires unless you were being intentionally stupid) it wasn't something I needed in my life.

I sort of got the same on a well known Nova site.
Last year, when my car was being painted ,I asked what is the correct paint used for the factory blacked out grill on a SS/Rally as they were the only packages that had blacked out parts.

I got several comments stating that there was never a Nova SS/RS. Bla,bla, bla.

No shit. I should have said "Super Sport and/or Rally Nova.
I've only owned it since the late 70's. WTF!

Ugh, that's brutal. There's a know-it-all on the diecast forum I'm on that thinks his opinion on everything is fact (or doesn't have the info) and I love pointing out that he doesn't know what he's talking about. Just because he doesn't like some subject in diecast it should never be made, or the budget company didn't go to the major model company because they're small and suck (newsflash, they did)

I should have clarified the hot topic issue was a completely unrelated political thing. I was like okay starter is under the block, great. You might need to move item A, B. And now a completely unrelated hot button political topic rant for four paragraphs. And back to where the electrical connection is

That's exactly what happens on the F-150 forum. Certain people take any tiny detail they can find as an excuse to go on a political tirade. Little bit of misogyny there too. I'll never understand that - if I didn't think my wife was at least my equal, I wouldn't be with her.

My wife got me a non-folding one a few years ago that I like. It's getting pretty worn, though, so I'm in the market for a similar replacement. I find even a bifold is usually too thick.

Then there are the conspirarcy theories about everything. About an hour after the plane crash in North Philadelphia, one guy said it had all of the classic traits of a Cartel hit. I had to resist the urge to ask him what incriminating evidence the litttle girl might have on a Cartel.
