2hrs of trying to eliminate the rattle/ticking sound that comes out the passenger front. ive taken the doors off so many times. double sound deaden material, felt tape on almost every piece of plastic that touches metal. still cant find this damn rattle that is driving me insane.

def not that causing a rattle, thats a huge piece. youd need to be offroading to really get that to rattle.

i have felt taped so many panels im running out of possible options lol. its such a weird tickkking rattle sound, almost like its the hybrid motor but i know its not. its not a hard plastic sounding rattle. music doesn't cause it either, (like every other rattle ive fixed) its only when driving.

Installed the Redline Tuning hood struts and a grab strap. Cleaned the engine compartment and sprayed it with Amsoil Mudslinger. Also took advantage of Toyota Accessories sale and bought a bed mat. Happy to see Toyota took into consideration owners installing bed stiffeners.

Does the rattle stop of your sitting still? I had a similar kind of rattle but it was coming from the driver's side. Wound up being the flimsy factory splash guards in the wheel well..I replaced it with the Ark splash guard and no more rattling.

Sitting still no rattle. The splash guards are a good guess I haven’t looked into yet. Will have to see tomorrow.

Surprisingly little talk about the fake engine noise Toyota decided we needed to hear out of the speakers... everyone just living with that? Blows my mind that that's a thing...

Well for me it goes along with the plastic covers on my rims that I didn't discover until too late after purchase. Poser crap that I wish Toyota didn't delve into.

Just turn it off with a carista or ask the dealer to do so

I wouldn't say it's fake engine noise. A better description would be amplified. At first I wasn't a fan of it, but now I've decided to keep it on. I'm thinking it'll help me keep an eye on the engine. It also amplified the rattle I heard coming from the splash guards which helped me diagnose it easier. To each their own I suppose.

There has been plenty on it. I turned it off along with lots of other annoying “features” with Carista. The 1st time I heard it, I was like WTF was that. My wife even noticed. Stupid shit.
